Check out the right rear after it delaminated :

Well so I gues most of you are wondering how I did .
I entered this thing last year as alast minute joke almost ...and i actually ended up winning the whole thing .
Went against V8 Mustangs and Camaros and tons of V8 trucks but I ended up winning by being the only one to keep going till both tire blew .
This year I went specifically to enter this event and blew both tires again .
But I only came away with 2nd place as they semed to think that a 67 Mustang that neglected to blow either tire but did manage to blow his motor was a much better show than me blowing 2 tires .
Oh well .

Awesome. Your crazy man 8)
Atleast you were using kumho 712's instead of Potenza SO3's. ;)
Did you bend any rims?

lol...

The judges were probably all like,

"Wow, I guess we should give 1st to that ford since he DID blow his motor"

"How about that that BMW?"

"Yeah, but.... I feel sorry for the mustang... I say, give 1st to the mustang..

"agreed"

Congrates for a good show. :D

Looks like an expensive contest to compete in.
Was there any prize money?

I will try and post a few other good pics from this show on Saturday .
Jim : Yes those Korean tires are good for burning up without burning through your wallet .

Heres a "Before" shot of my Khumos :

And heres the "After" shot :

Was not really concerned with bending the wheels as I got these off a riced out Integra with the intent to use them as burnout wheels .
At least I was running 16's with 205/45's and not skinny stockers with bald tires that most of the serious guys were running .

Hey x628x : The vid you mention is it of your bimmer or your 5.0 ?
Yes you need to get them up where we can see them .
I've got a few pics like you describe :
http://members.roadfly.com/tigger2/burnout05.jpg
The wind this year was blowing into the crowd which did not make for good front end pics . All the pics that my friend took with my camers are just a big cloud of smoke !

Yes these things can be pretty expensive . 3-4 guys blew their engines on this years event . I even did a little teeny weeny bit of damage to my car . (don't ask)
Not to mention the tires people go through .
sadly there is no $$ . Just a trophy and lots of bragging rights .
Heres my 1st place trophy from '03 :

Lots of people are interested in my car and they all seem intrigued by the right rear tires condition .
My car even pulled in some local skanks without me even trying :

teaguer, i saw a car that looked just like yours today on hillcrest and campbell going south around 1 PM... same wheels and everything. was it you?

Teaguer

No that was not me .....around 1pm on Wednesday I would have been eating lunch with the GF at Black Eyed Pea on Coit & Beltline .
But we were in her SUV .
There is a guy that lives just 2 blocks from where I work that has a very similar appearing e30 as mine .
Its a late model black 2-door but its a 318is and he is running 15" or 16" Borbet "Type-C" wheels .
At a glance it kinda looks like mine although its not lowered or nowhere near as "G'd up" as mine .
Hahaha ....I said "G'd Up" . Thats pretty funny .
Also down in the East Dallas area I have noticed a late model black 2-door with 16" or 17" wheels on several occasions and it REALLY looks like mine in passing . (due to the larger wheels)

i think this one had shaved badges come to think of it, because i think i would have remembered what model it was.

Teaguer
07-25-2004, 05:08 PM
Yeah , I'm gonna shave all the roundels and badges when I get around to painting mine .
Was planning on getting it painted this summer but I don't know when I'll get it done now .

Once you see my car you should not have any trouble picking it out from another e30 ..at least in town that is .
I don't think that I ever posted regular pics of my car in here .
Oh yeah ...the photo album titled "Octoberfest and BMP Bimmer Roundup" has a shot of my car from the BMP show .
But here are a few recent ones :

Good, that's the only thing worth doing to those glorified peice of shit rubberbands anyway, is to destroy them.
