Does anybody have the sized off the top of their head? I have a 325i(s) TB here with me, and it's 60mm. What, for comparison's sake, is the bore of an M10 318i's TB?
Thanks,
Kevin

No one has an M10 throttle body lying around?

Off the top of my head I think 42mm. I remember looking it up because I wanted to make ITB's out of a bunch of m10 TB's, but then I saw something shiny and got sidetracked.

Right on! Then the 60mm bore would DEFINITELY free the airflow if the rest was likewise opened up. I wonder how much that would effect throttle tip-in, though.
Who knows... I might find out soon though. A guy on here did the conversion and bored out the intake manifold to port match the TB =D>
Oh yeah, and it has a Schrick cam too. :D

I just took a look at the trottle bodys i have laying around and the m10 trottle body is 53mm at the intake and 44mm at the butterfly. but the m20 trottle body has a different bolt patteren so there will be some modifing to be done to make it fit. Also the m10 has a large bevel on the out let side that is not present on the m20, causing me to think it would flow much different.

Thanks for the measurements!
If you look in the For Sale - E30 cars thread, there is an '84 318i with a Schrick cam and the modified intake. When my 535is sells, I plan on going to look it over and drive it. If I like it, I'm sure I'll get it.
EDIT: An 86% bore area increase should DEFINITELY put a new edge on driving the M10. I'm very curious as to how it will interact with the cam.
An N/A toy-car will be a new thing for me to explore. I usually just turbocharge whatever I have 8-[
