So, i have exhuasted my research on sway bars and have come up with one solution. I am going to have some made. I do marketing and advertising in Omaha nebraska and i work with the local nascar track, i showed one of the shop guys an e30 sway bar and he started laughing . . . i told him the cost for a set of racing dyanmics sway bars and i perked his interest. He is going to majke a 22 mm in the front and a 19 mm for the rear in the exact same shape as the racing dynhamics bars . .. . here is the kicker: The ADJUSTMENTS WONT BE THREE HOLES: They will be cross hatched ends with a counter crosshatched aluminum block mounted to the car with hine joints
FULLY ADJUSTABLE DOWN TO THE MM
Anyway so . . . i will post the pics as soon as they are made. If they turn out the way i expect them to i will be initiating a group buy and cost will be very low. FULLY ADJUSTABLE SWAYS DROOOOOOL

Sounds like a plan .

True, i know there is a few . .. but these will be made in my back yard by some fine damn machinists lol hit me back with some links of the ones you find . . . id like to look at cost comparisons . . . im trying to keep these at around 200-250 . . . 300 tops

Im not happy wiht the ones on the market for two reasons 1) Cost, there is no reason a set of slightly bent 22/19 mil bars with six holes poked in them / heat treated/ powder coated should cost 700-800 bucks . . . 2)None the bars i have seen are fully adjustable . . . If they are out there im sure they cost a bloody fortune.
Also, the only cost effective set i have seen that have a full adjustable front are the ireleand engineering bars. They only have the front set fully adjustable and they are not hatched/cross hatched . . . in short i saw a set close up and the looked like shit.
So, thje only solution i can think of is a more hands on approach where ill bend them have them hatched and heat treated, thrown on sime hine joints and call it a day . . . the beauty is that in keeping with the same measurement of bars, 22 front and 19 rear, you can by these bars and order the bushings from alot of different after market distributors ie . . racing dynamics, bavarian . . . . etc.

Last I checked the IE's were $425, the Eibach's $319, and the ST's $289.

Yes, cabrios are 22 mm, you can also use the m coupe or m3 rear sway bar . .. these ar not adjustable though , , , but a great up gradee . .. there may be adjustable sway bars for 400-600 a set . . . but why by something with limited adjustability and in many cases poor quality when you can have it all for cheaper

how about an ix front bar, there is not one on the market anywhere. I think alpina made one at one point that was just a modified stock bar. Others weld "ears" onto the bars. I want a real one. IX strut braces are also hard to come by if you are looking for ideas.

yeah that's sad too. $25 worth of bar stock and a couple of bends on the mandrel. Hell, maybe I should start making copies too!

Cool, I love mis-information. The cabrio front bar is 21mm.

Im sorry to misinform . . . that was not my intention. I thought they were 22 mm next time ill check ETK and double check before i post. Thank you for correcting me.
Anyway, I will post some pics when they are done. Thanks for not being hypercritical about the idea!? Bottom line, sway bars are expensive and i think they can be made to be fully adjustable at a higher quality while incurring a lower end cost.
I like misinformation too

i'm wondering the same question. I'm in the market for a sway bar set, and wouldn't mind if I could save a few bucks.
