Sounds like a loose belt but worse.... I am sure it's a pulley it should be time considering there from 1989..
Is there Aftermarket pullies?? lightened I mean for more power..

If the stock are stamped steal, I don't think you can get lighter then that.
Don't know any aftermarket pullies though, sorry.

Could it be one of the bearings in the item the pulley is mounted on? That happened on my wife's a/c pump on her Volvo, it finally froze up and the belt would just burn on there and create a lot of blue smoke.

I am going to have a machine shop custom make all aluminum pulleys for me when I have the money (and a car that runs) to compare the difference. I figured if I can have them make an aluminum copy of that wheel that weighs a ton that tells the TDC sensor it's info (don't know the name of it, but it weighs like 12 lbs), that will take off a lot of rotating weight. Hope that makes sense.
