I have a fan clutch in my parts car that I'm going to use for my car.. It was the first thing I heard when I turned the key.. So it must work.. Cause mine doesn't make noise.

How do I take the bastard out??

On my 86 there is a big nut (like 1 1/4) and use turned clockwise to losen.

But does the water pump or rad hoses have to come out??

Nope. Just stick a big wrench and hit it with a hammer becuase if you turn it slowly it'll turn the whole pully so you
have to hit it hard and fast.

Alright, this is my specialty. The actual size of wrench for the fan clutch is 32mm, but like Ivan said you can use a 1 1/4" wrench. It's a tight fit but you should be able to get it on there. Also remember that it's REVERSE threads. So to loosen it, you turn it clockwise-to tighten it you turn it counter clockwise.

On my car I had to remove the fan shroud at the same time.
