Hello, i swapped my car`s engine.
sold out m42b18 - and putted in build 2.7

but now is some problems...
engine wiring i putted from `89 325 - and saloon ar fuses box are my old 318is.

At this moment when i`m starting car - there is no spark.
And when i`m starting fuel pump isn`t working...

maybe i need to put some fuse in box, maybe there is some that i`ll need Now?

Also when i`m turning ON ignition - there are ~5volts voltage @TEMPERATURE SENSOR which is in blue color.

also some voltage at ignition coil!

maybe you have some hints?
also testet at this evening that my ECU ir working. Installed him to another 325 m-tech2 - and everything worked fine.

what you need is the complet wiring harness from the 325.
Are you getting any voltage at the fuel pump? or coil?
If your are and it is below 12v
Then check for any thing that is not properly grounded.

Don't forget that you need a sensor to read the crank position,....

complet wiring - you mean even the saloon wiring?

I`ve already got rpm meter on my engine.

Ok today i`ll will check the voltage on fuel pump.

Did you get the loom on the engine?
You might need to change some wires in the C101 plug around,
as you might not be getting 12v and or signals right now

It´s the engine <> car connector, right by the fuse box, a round plug,

"Saloon" is the 4 door car.

Correct?

"Saloon" is the 4 door car.

Correct?

Normaly you would be right but in the case of an e30 no
The e30 saloon is a 4 door but there 2 door is called a 3 door saloon not a coupe.

about saloon i meaned wiring inside the car, no 2 doors or 4 doors our Touring body type :D

Now i understand what is C101 - thats big round connector, where i disconnect old m42b18 wiring from "fuse" box - and connected m20b25 wiring. -

Change some wires...
Maybe i need to compare - is there wire against the wire in that contact?

ok...
below is my 318iS m42 wiring - it has 11 wires incoming.
above ir m20b25 - motronic wiring - it has 16 wires at connector.

also rpm meter is @ engine front...

Now i don`t really know, what to think about...

#1 , check for 12v on the green wire at the ignition coil
#2, check for 12v at all the red wires and red and white wires at the M20 relays

#YEs - 12V are.
#2 There they are 3 relay, and in all - in red and white+red wires i have 12V

Ok, sounds like the electrical connections are right,

Check that you are getting 12v at the fuel pump in the car, under the seat,
that´s probably not happening,
what you need to do is check the C101 plug and make sure the fuel pump wires are connecting, they may be in diffrence places on the connectors, if so you need to move one to connect to the other one,

I´m also sure the ignition sensor pickup is not giving a signal to the ecu,
