I would like to eventually get around to writing a technical article on rebuilding the cylinder head. As you can see, I have many pictures that show how to dissasemble a cylinder head. Now, I just have to add words that make sense, of course.

Hey, what holds those four little things you took off (2 on front and two on back)? The ones on my head now look like they have some type of glue but I'm not sure. And what are they anyway?

They keep ther rocker shafts in place.

I pulled mine straight up.

They were not glued.

Boy...I remember when i had to do all that stuff. Then i found it the damn head was cracked anyways. Got a refurb. But i have a quick question. How in gods name do u get the double valve springs out? I've tried getting them out on my old head to sell on ebay or something. I've already broken 2 ring compressor's trying to get them out. What do u use?

I didn't get the springs out. Read my post in this link to find out what I did with the head: http://www.e30tech.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1108

Unfortunately, I never installed it. I had to part out my E30: http://www.e30tech.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=841
