thanks for the input guys. JBain you mentioned the stock crank is forged and that most people are just using the stock crank, what can be done to the stock crank that would improve its capabilities for sustained higher revs?
Also anyone know what the strongest option is for converting away from the stock hydro lifters? Reving to 8500+ rpm that must sound glorious. For that Im sure everything has been reworked, larger valves, heavier springs, extensive porting, massive cams, solid lifters, forged pistons and rods, and might as well TBC everything as well.
Does anyone know what turbo and compression ratio the motor in the dyno sheet was running?
Reving to 8500 one could run a massive turbo with a boost threshold around 4000-4500 and still have plenty of RPM left to play with.
Looking for an e30... Where have all the good ones gone?!
