I was full steam ahead at the beginning. The novelty of restoring a car has worn off as the work takes its toll

Had a decent progress weekend, for the first time in months it feels like i'm getting closer.

Cleaned up the engine and im resealing it. Its a trusty unit so im not going to rebuild it until it needs it.

engine bay is ready for the motor now. Had to get new clips for the clutch and brake lines

wiring all done in the back

fog lamps in

and finally the car has 4 belt molds. Just love how straight it looks. . Paints not pealy, its just dusty!

got a fair few "small things" that I had pushed aside to do later all done finally.. they piled up over time and was just overwhelmed with the work and never really had the time to finish them off.. finally got that chance

so next is to re-seal the engine, drop it in and start bolting up the driveline. Put the fuel tank back in and replace all the hoses. Pop a windscreen in and get some black plastic mesh for the front vallance.. Will look nicer against an intercooler than an open hole.

Well.. never thought I would see this thread again.. was hell annoyed that it was almost lost forever. All my bookmarks gone of my build.

its certainly more of a car now, in fact if it goes to plan it should be finished by the end of next month.. Just some small things to tidy up.

I washed it for the first time in 4yrs last night.. finally got the sunroof in. Got some compounding to do now.

I will chuck up an image when that's done. Basically its a new car now. Replaced bloody everything. Only the engine is original now which is nice and healthy last time I drove it.

This will do for now.. I've only just found out photobucket have killed their image hosting so thats basically rendered this build thread useless.

for now heres how its looking.. Im basically going to have to make a new thread.
