thanks!
car is a 1987 325e, delphin 5 speed black sedan, non-sport model. Original was 2.93 final drive open, I have installed a 188mm Kaaz 1.5way LSD + 188mm 3.15 ratio final drive. This is a rather noisy aftermarket (japanese) LSD unit. I wish it was a 2 way, I will be trying to install 2 way guts into it -1.5 is probably better for 80% of people for tracking etc but 2 way is more fun IMO. Original 5 speed gearbox G260, Stock clutch. This is a 1987 ETA model and has the 96mm-12M Guibo and driveshaft - I am tough on guibo :P Z3 shift lever installed with bushing service. m20b27 Engine is a E model, it has been left alone. Power steering, AC removed and shelved for later use. Stock fan shroud removed for e-fan upcoming install. incoming: M20 Alpina 2.7L is rated in 1985 @ 185hp. that was with L-Jet, Now with Digital ignition and proper mapping (1.3 motronic USA spec) Modernizing the M20's brains will be the goal in this project as the downhill nature of this project almost made me go with a 4 cylinder engine. Weight position/bias and reduction with focus on rear traction and chassis stability airborne +over very rough surfaces (tarmac rally, occasional freeway wangan runs, track days), is the big picture focus of this build. incoming exhaust items: H&B Original Long tube headers. genuine item: 1985. E30 325i original downpipes. cats out to allow for leaded gas trackside

Nice build, very orginal motor choice. Got lucky with all that head work being done already!

footwork is currently very close to stock, have not decided on brakes completely so wheels is still up in the air
![]() trying to find some light forged japanese 14-15" x 7-8JJ tires for m20 wont need to be more than 205mm-225, I'm going to try staggered rim offsets/sizes I think.
