Default South Africa Spec 325iS - 2.7 (long Post)

So, here you have it, tx Stevin, for introducing me to this Forum

In South African, we didn't recieve the E30 M3, instead we got the
325iS , Evo 1 and Ev0 2, which where locally build.
The 333i was also a South African buildt car, with a
3.3L engine of the 733i, I will post article, write ups of the these
cars if you guys want.

The 325is Ev0 1, was a 145kW 2.7 striaght 6
here are some spec's. These cars are collectors items now
the price range is between 9000 $ (us) up to 19 000 $ (us)

EVO I

2.7lt motor same pistons as Alpina B3 2.7
Head was same as 2.5,with revised larger valves, alpina 276 cam
Uberko Cloth or leather interior / leather
Sunroof optional
Available in Black, Red, Silver and White. Some were made in Blue but very few
M3 E30 Suspension 5 Hole wheels BBS
M-Tech 2 Body Kit
145 Kw Motor
LSD
top speed 236kph
0-100 in 7.2 seconds

Later on in 91-92 the 325iS Evo 2 was produced

here are some spec's

EVO II
Steel body panels
Larger roll bars
Lower Springs 15mm in front 10 mm at rear
Limited Slip Diff
535 Air Flow Meter
Alpina Spec Head
Leather Interior
Front Aero Lip with under tray
Branch Exhaust system developed by Alpina
276 Camshafts
Rougher Idle
Recaro seats,
Bilstein suspension
155 kw motor.

The Evo 2 was not faster than the Ev01, was the mid range was much stronger through the
rev range, top was 237 kph

Below is my Red 325is. its has original 160 000 km's on the clock
and is prettty much std - body wise
i have ported / flowed the head / chipped / 288 cam /bored out throttle / branch
I enter the car for lots of show events as opposed to racing, (ok I lie), i race the car,
but within limit.

These are some of my friends cars...enjoy

I'm going to south africa!!

Super lovely car you have there!! so the engine mounts for a 333i are made by who?

Honestly i'd rather have one of those evos than a US-spec m3.

Very nice pics. One question though. In this picture, the e-brake isn't switch to the right side, was this something you changed, or are there no RHD e-brake units?
