Default Charcoal Canister?

OK, been going thru my piles of parts, and apparently, when I got this car, there was no charcoal canister, purge valve, etc. How imperative is it that these even be there? Can the car run fine without? Will it hurt the car if we run without these? And if we need them, does anybody have all this crap I can buy from them as a whole, lol?? Thanks.

don't need it. Although a picky emissions place should technically fail you, most don't look.

Maybe most don't look in VA. If you're in CA or one of the other states starting to pass our ridiculous emissions laws, better re-install that sucker before you smog.

I don't care about the emissions thing, I need to know if the car will run properly without the charcoal canister, will it lean out, will it hesitate, or will it run normal?

should run fine but there is a chance that you would have an idle problem because of a vac leak. but if the lines are all blocked up nice and tight you should have no problems.
