Default Glue Vinyl Door Panel edges

What is the best way to get the edges of the door panels to stay put. I picked up 4 black ones and I want to do it right before I install them on my car? Thanks.

Oh, I tried the 3M spray adheasive on my original door panles as well as the A Pillar and it did not work so well.

Well 3m spray is the best and right thing to use. How did you use it? There is a procedure you know. Spray and let sit. Then press together. I then stack phone books on top for a day or so. I to picked up some black interior panels and am going to do this. If all else fails use Liquid Nails. But don't do it unless it is a last ditch effort.

i think the original poster is speaking in reference to those (similar to) Chrome bling bling door edge moldings.. to sort of protect it from being opening too far.. (like mine were)

Default Door Panels

I was actually talking about the Vinyl door panels because the vinyl has a tendency to want to shrink and loosen up.

I just stapled them with a regular stapler. so long as the staples are not too long, I did not have any that came through the vinyl side. been holding for almost a year so far

I used CA (superglue), which seemed to hold well. I needed to use spring clamps every few inches, so I could do only a short section at a time.

Urethane adhesive (Gorilla Glue) should work, but a contact cement would be easier to use.

Default Goop

Guys, I found the best stuff for the panels. Goop Automotive and lots and lots of binder clips. Make sure to use some cardboard or something on the side that is viewable inside the car but it hold great and withstands temps to 150 degrees.
